Burgundy beef

Prep: 10 mins Cook: 8.5 hrs


Ingredients:

4 lbs beef sirloin tips, cut in to 1 in cubes
3 large onions, sliced (or 1-2 tsp onion powder)
1 c water
1 c burgundy wine or beef broth
1 c ketchup
¼ c quick cooking tapioca
¼ c packed brown sugar
¼ c Worcestershire sauce
4 t paprika
1-1/2 t salt
1 t minced garlic
1 t ground mustard

2 T cornstarch
3 T cold water
Hot cooked (egg) noodles



In a 5 qt slow cooker, combine the first 12 ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hrs or until meat is tender.


Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; stir in to slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for about 15 mins until gravy is slightly thickened. Serve with noodles.

Serves 4-5
